Job Description
A successful cafe chain is looking for a friendly and customer-focused Cafe Manager to join their team! As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for processing payments from customers, handling cash and card transactions, and providing excellent customer service. You will also be expected to oversee the maintenance of a clean and organized work area and assist with basic food preparation tasks. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations and managing store’s staff.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they approach the counter and take their orders
- Enter orders into the cash register and ensure correct pricing
- Accept payment from customers and give change as needed
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of food and drinks to customers
- Manage take-out orders and make sure they are filled correctly
- Oversee the cleanliness of the counter and dining area
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Upsell menu items and promotions to customers
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and specials
- Recruit and hire new store employees
- Train and evaluate store employees
- Create a healthy and enjoyable store work environment
- Train store employees on policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Manager in a similar industry
- Reliability and dependability are key traits
- Strong work ethic and a desire to improve and succeed
- Good knowledge of food sales
- Excellent customer service skills
