Job Description
A premier distributor of kosher meats, poultry, and specialty food items based in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager with experience in food, meat, or refrigerated products. This role involves overseeing a team, managing daily warehouse operations, and ensuring the efficient and accurate shipping of products. A strong leader with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of Hashgacha is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the warehouse team, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Operational Management: Oversee the handling and storage of kosher meats, poultry, and refrigerated products, ensuring all processes meet health and safety regulations.
- Shipping & Logistics: Implement and monitor shipping procedures to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Hashgacha standards and maintain the highest quality control for all products.
- Inventory Oversight: Assist in managing inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Problem Solving: Address any operational challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Cold Weather Handling: Work comfortably in cold storage environments to manage refrigerated and frozen goods.
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse management, particularly with refrigerated food or meat products.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
