An established Home Care organization is looking for a Business Development Director (Director of Sales) for their location in Brooklyn, NY. The Director of Sales is a leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and build strong relationships within the home care industry. This individual will oversee a team of sales professionals, build partnerships, and ensure the achievement of revenue goals while maintaining the highest standards of client care and ethical practices.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth and expand market share.
- Identify target markets and develop tailored sales approaches to meet the needs of diverse client populations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to refine sales strategies.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and community functions.
- Operational Oversight:
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (care coordinators, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
- Analyze sales metrics and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 4+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, in the home care industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the home care industry, including services, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, team members, and industry partners.
