A growing construction company based in New Haven, CT is looking for a reliable Construction Superintendent. As a Construction Superintendent at their company, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects and leading the construction team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and managing our construction staff and construction projects. You will hold the blueprints on a building site or construction site and will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from the beginning to the end.
Responsibilities:
- Planning construction processes
- Coordinating all work on construction site
- Supervising construction staff and keeping track of project process
- Collaborating with clients and project managers
- Collaborating with construction engineers
- Purchasing materials and equipment
- Overseeing construction permits
- Performing inspections
- Maintaining a daily log and writing reports
- Overseeing staff performance
- Ensuring safety and quality standards are met
- Resolving construction site emergencies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong multitasking skills
