Job Description

A growing Chabad school located in Queens with over 150 students is looking for a Early Childhood Director for their pre-school. The candidate should have a passion for education, be organized with structuring curriculums, and be a liaison for the teachers, parents, and students. The ideal Director has strong leadership skills, is an excellent communicator, and can motivate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, curriculum, and facility operations.
  • Develop strong relationships with our families,
  • Manage licensing and credentialing
  • Positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Deep love for children and a strong commitment to education.

Requirements:

  • New York State Teaching Certification
  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood
  • 3-5 years of experience as a director of a pre-school with at least 100 students
  • Knowledgeable of Article 47 and other NYC Department of Health licensing/credentialing issues
  • Knowledgeable of NYC private schools and of public G&T program exams and admissions
  • Strong computer, verbal and written communication skills
