Job Description

An established Home Care organization is looking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator Director to oversee the scheduling and management of home care professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet client needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to efficiently manage workforce planning and optimize caregiver utilization.

Responsibilities:

  • Staffing & Scheduling: Develop and maintain caregiver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all clients. Monitor availability and coordinate shift replacements as needed.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensure that all caregivers meet state and federal regulations, including certifications, background checks, and ongoing training requirements.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding scheduling concerns, time-off requests, and work-related issues.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement processes to improve staffing efficiency and reduce gaps in service delivery.
  • Client Satisfaction: Collaborate with case managers and clients to ensure that caregiver assignments align with client needs and preferences.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track caregiver attendance, punctuality, and job performance, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Technology Utilization: Maintain and optimize scheduling software and databases to streamline operations and enhance workforce management.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Generate reports on staffing trends, caregiver utilization, and overall performance to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in staffing coordination, workforce management, or scheduling, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as HHAeXchange, ClearCare, AlayaCare, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with caregivers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management.
