A vibrant and nurturing early childhood center dedicated to fostering a love of learning in a warm and developmentally appropriate environment is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Director to lead the early childhood program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of child development, a commitment to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, and strong leadership skills to manage staff, curriculum, and operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the early childhood program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children from infancy through Kindergarten.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to teachers and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous growth.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with best practices in early childhood education and Jewish values.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, fostering open communication and a sense of community.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Manage enrollment, budgeting, and staffing needs to maintain a high-quality program.
- Plan and coordinate events, parent workshops, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field, OR significant experience in early childhood education and school leadership.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a child care center, preschool, Kindergarten, or early childhood setting.
- Knowledge of Lubavitch Chinuch: Strong understanding of Chabad-Lubavitch customs, traditions, and teachings.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage and inspire a team, implement effective classroom strategies, and create a positive learning environment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work with children, parents, teachers, and community members.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with licensing standards.
