Job Description

A rapidly growing and well-established property management company overseeing a large portfolio, is seeking an experienced Senior Property Manager to lead daily operations, oversee building performance, and manage field operations. This role requires a seasoned professional who can oversee a large portfolio, manage a team, and ensure all properties run smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on management role, with approximately 50% in the field and 50% in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full management of the portfolio across multiple buildings.
  • Ensure all properties operate smoothly and meet company standards.
  • Monitor day-to-day building operations, tenant relations, and overall performance.
  • Delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and ensure accountability across the team.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and evaluating staff.
  • Visit buildings regularly to inspect common areas, mechanical systems, and overall property conditions.
  • Address maintenance concerns, violations, emergencies, and building-level issues in real time.
  • Work directly and professionally with supers, porters, maintenance teams, and vendors to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Review and resolve HPD/DOB/ECB violations, ensuring timely response and cure.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding building issues, notices, and resolutions.
  • Implement best practices in property management, reporting, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC housing laws, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in property management, real estate operations, or building portfolio oversight.
  • Experience managing large portfolios
  • Strong understanding of NYC violations, DOB/HPD processes, and building systems.
  • Comfortable managing supers, maintenance teams, and onsite staff.
  • Solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for fieldwork (reimbursement provided).
