Job Description

A state of the art facility in the heart of Manhattan is looking for an Administrative Assistant for their pre-school. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the school. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and community members, and will help maintain an efficient and welcoming school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Administration:
    • Manage the front desk and act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff.
    • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Maintain student records, enrollment documentation, and school databases.
  • Support for School Leadership:
    • Provide administrative support to the school’s leadership team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.
    • Assist with scheduling parent-teacher meetings, school events, and staff conferences.
  • Parent and Family Communication:
    • Serve as a key point of contact for parents, answering questions and providing important school information.
    • Maintain positive relationships with parents and address any concerns or requests promptly.
  • School Communication and Marketing:
    • Help manage the school’s website and social media platforms, ensuring content is current and engaging.
    • Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional materials, brochures, and digital content to promote school programs.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education environments is a plus.
