Job Description
An established property management firm based in Brooklyn is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Property Manager to oversee the management of retail and commercial spaces. This role involves handling an increasing portfolio, ensuring tenant satisfaction, overseeing renovation projects, and maintaining property operations to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will be skilled in dealing with brokers, lawyers, and tenants.
Responsibilities:
- Property Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of retail and commercial spaces, ensuring all properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
- Tenant Relations: Handle lease agreements, renewals, and tenant inquiries to foster positive relationships and ensure tenant retention.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, approve expenditures, and oversee rent collection to meet revenue goals.
- Broker and Legal Coordination: Collaborate with brokers to fill vacancies and work with lawyers to address legal matters, including lease negotiations and disputes.
- Construction Oversight: Coordinate and manage construction or renovation projects within the portfolio, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Software Utilization: Utilize RentManager for tracking property performance, managing tenant records, and streamlining operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven experience in commercial property management or similar.
- 2+ years of experience in the construction/renovation space
- Familiarity with retail and commercial property operations.
- Proficiency in RentManager or similar property management software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience dealing with brokers, lawyers, and tenants.
- Knowledge of construction project management is a plus.
