Job Description
A funding company in the Merchant Cash Advance industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Vice President of Operations. The individual will work directly with the executive team to optimize productivity, efficiency, and profitability, shaping the company’s operational processes, team structure, and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations and business development, with extensive experience in the MCA sector. This individual will have to drive the implementation of operational processes, manage partnerships, and ensure that the company’s infrastructure supports both short-term growth and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy & Leadership:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement strategies that support both the launch and scalable growth of the company.
- Develop, implement, and optimize operational processes across underwriting, sales, customer service, and collections, ensuring efficiency and scalability from application to funding.
- Oversee the execution of day-to-day operations to ensure smooth integration of deal flow, underwriting, and collections while maintaining high operational standards.
- Continuously refine and optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency, speed, and accuracy in all key areas.
- ISO Relationship Management & Deal Flow:
- Build and manage relationships with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) to drive deal flow and expand market reach.
- Hire, train, and lead a high-performing ISO team, ensuring effective integration of deals into company operations.
- Oversee the onboarding, management, and performance of ISO partnerships, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and performance standards.
- Underwriting, Risk Management & Compliance:
- Develop and manage underwriting processes, focusing on managing risk effectively while ensuring deal quality and scalability.
- Implement data-driven risk management strategies to assess deals and minimize exposure.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
- Business Growth & Marketing:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute campaigns aimed at driving merchant acquisition and expanding market presence.
- Leverage digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and generate inbound leads.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize for scalable growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in senior leadership roles in operations, with a strong focus on sales and business development, particularly in the Merchant Cash Advance Industry.
- Proven track record of working with ISOs and building scalable sales channels through these partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the specific risks, challenges, and strategies involved in providing cash advances to all types of merchants.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Thorough familiarity with MCA-specific software platforms and CRM tools (such as Salesforce, or similar platforms) and the ability, in particular, of customizing SALESFORCE platforms.
- Experience with implementing operational technologies and platforms to enhance operational efficiency.
