Furniture Upholsterer

Job Description

A growing furniture manufacturer is seeking a skilled Furniture Upholsterer to join its production team. This is a hands-on role focused on restoring, repairing, and upholstering furniture pieces with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience working with various upholstery materials and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Reupholster and repair furniture from frame to finished product
• Cut, fit, and attach fabric, leather, and other materials using hand tools, sewing machines, and staple guns
• Read and interpret work orders, design specifications, and material requirements
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality, alignment, and craftsmanship standards
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience in furniture upholstery or related field
• Ability to work with a variety of materials (fabric, leather, etc.)
• Familiarity with upholstery tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Reliable and consistent attendance

Screening Requirements:

• Must pass a 5-panel drug screening
• Background check required
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)
