Junior Attorney

Job Description

A dynamic collections law firm dedicated to helping clients recover outstanding debts efficiently and professionally is seeking a Junior Attorney to join their team and handle judgment enforcement and collections matters. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience is a plus, but ambition, drive, and a strong work ethic are what matter most.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct judgment calls and engage with debtors to negotiate resolutions.
• File lawsuits for unpaid MCA accounts and other collections matters.
• Manage smaller collection cases with minimal litigation involvement.
• Assist in post-judgment enforcement, including garnishments, bank levies, and asset recovery.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on legal strategy and case management.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Law degree and licensed to practice law in New York.
• Interest in collections law, litigation, and judgment enforcement.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases efficiently.
• Comfortable making outbound calls to negotiate settlements.
