Job Description
A boutique property management company based in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Management Associate to support their operations. The Property Management Associate will assist the Property Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, addressing tenant concerns, and providing administrative and leasing support. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to handle tenant interactions, schedule repairs, and ensure smooth leasing and property management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for tenant inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and professional resolutions.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs or maintenance requests with vendors and contractors, ensuring completion and tenant satisfaction.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, filing, and maintaining accurate property records.
- Assist the leasing team by coordinating tenant move-ins, renewals, and terminations, and preparing related documentation.
- Prepare and distribute tenant communications, including notices, updates, and newsletters.
- Support rent collection efforts, track delinquencies, and assist in resolving payment issues.
- Help maintain the property management database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on leases, maintenance, and tenant details.
- Conduct property inspections and report findings to the Property Manager.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, brokers, and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in property management, leasing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., RentManager) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Familiarity with lease agreements, local property laws, and tenant management is a plus.
