Senior Property Manager

Job Description

An established property management firm is looking for a skilled and driven Senior Property Manager to lead the operations of a couple large multifamily communities. This role calls for a strong leader who can oversee day-to-day activities, maintain high occupancy, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster positive relationships with residents and staff alike. Candidates with local community knowledge and a track record of effective property management will be highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of both properties, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead and supervise on-site staff, including leasing agents, maintenance technicians, and admin assistants.
• Manage leasing activities to maintain high occupancy levels.
• Handle rent collections, payment processing, and delinquency follow-up.
• Foster positive tenant relations and resolve disputes effectively.
• Ensure properties are maintained to quality and safety standards.
• Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) management by coordinating contractors, purchasing materials, and supervising renovation or unit build-outs as new units come online.
• Work closely with contractors and vendors for repairs and improvements.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of proven property management experience, preferably with Class C multifamily properties.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and HUD regulations preferred.
• Local residency in or near St. Louis, Missouri.
