Job Description
A well-established and rapidly growing general contracting and construction management firm is seeking a results-driven Business Development / Sales Representative to expand its footprint across commercial, residential, and multifamily markets. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction services, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for generating new business opportunities. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, developing new client relationships, and driving revenue through consultative sales in the construction and development sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across commercial, residential, and multifamily construction.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with developers, architects, property owners, real estate investors, and related professionals.
- Lead outbound sales efforts (calls, networking, meetings, proposals, site visits).
- Prepare and deliver bids, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, and leadership teams to align client expectations with project capabilities.
- Maintain a structured sales pipeline and track performance using CRM tools.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and real estate networking meetings to generate leads and increase market visibility.
- Provide market insights, including competitor activity and upcoming development opportunities.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.

Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of experience in construction sales, business development, real estate, or related B2B service industries preferred
- Proven success in relationship-based selling and managing a full sales cycle.
- Strong understanding of construction, contracting, or development processes (preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Ability to travel within the Tristate (CT, NY, NJ, and MA) area for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
