Job Description

A fast-growing private credit and alternative lending firm based in NYC is looking for a professional and passionate Funding Account Manager with a knowledge preferably in the financial services or private lending space. This role is ideal for someone who can is can take ownership of the funding process — managing relationships, ensuring disbursements are executed without delays, and resolving any payment blockers with confidence and urgency.

Responsibilities:

  • Own funding calls with borrowers, merchants, and business clients—ensuring they fulfill payment commitments and move swiftly through the funding pipeline.
  • Manage and grow relationships with active and warm leads, staying persistent, professional, and persuasive at every touchpoint.
  • Handle full account management for assigned leads—ensuring accounts stay funded, engaged, and responsive.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payment delays and any last-mile issues that may arise using both finesse and firmness.
  • Manage warm accounts and maintain strong, ongoing communication with all parties
  • Build trust and accountability with borrowers, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Work closely with underwriting and internal teams to keep deals moving forward efficiently
  • Maintain detailed records and provide updates on funding progress and client status.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in client-focused roles within finance, with a strong emphasis on human communication, relationship management, and problem-solving
  • A strong, confident communicator — especially over the phone
  • A natural closer with a strong command of funding processes and financial conversations.
  • Deep understanding of funding operations and borrower expectations
  • Unafraid to push borrowers toward payment with confidence and clarity—professional but persistent.
  • Doesn’t need hand-holding—takes initiative, follows up aggressively, and communicates effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and follow-through
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously with a calm, proactive approach
  • Comfortable working onsite with a high-output team
