Preschool Director

Job Description

A growing Chabad preschool that is two hours from Brooklyn with over 200+ children enrolled is seeking an experienced and dedicated Preschool Director to lead its early childhood program. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, engaging with parents, and ensuring a warm, structured, and high-quality educational environment rooted in strong values.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool program
• Supervise and support teachers and assistants across multiple classrooms
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, addressing questions, concerns, and updates
• Maintain compliance with all state licensing and regulatory requirements
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff members
• Develop and implement school policies, procedures, and programming
• Manage scheduling, classroom structure, and overall program flow
• Collaborate with administration on growth, enrollment, and program development
• Foster a positive, mission-driven school culture

Requirements:

• Prior experience in early childhood education leadership (Director or Assistant Director level preferred)
• Strong understanding of preschool curriculum and child development
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience managing staff and working with parents in a school setting
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, multi-classroom environment
• Passion for education and working within a values-based environment
