3K for All Lead Teacher

Job Description

A well-established, progressive Early Childhood and Elementary School in Bayside, Queens is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 3K for All Lead Teacher to join its growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating an engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom. Experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach is highly valued, though candidates who are eager to learn and grow within this philosophy are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for 3-year-old students
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and fellow educators
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain classroom organization and learning materials
• Follow all NYC DOE and school policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• New York State Early Childhood Education Certification (Required)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Experience teaching in an early childhood classroom
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Reggio Emilia Approach
• Knowledge of Jewish holidays and customs is a plus
• One or more years of classroom experience preferred
