Job Description

A growing organization is seeking an organized and audience-minded Communications Engagement Manager to take ownership of how the organization communicates with its network. This person will help consolidate a high volume of updates, requests, and information into fewer, sharper, and better-timed communications across email, messaging, and other channels. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a more intentional, funnel-based communications strategy from the ground up, with strong leadership support and room to grow into broader strategic responsibility as the function develops. The ideal candidate is a finisher who brings order to chaos, can write and execute communications independently, and naturally thinks about audience, tone, messaging, and timing.

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day communications across email, messaging, and other digital channels
  • Develop and manage communications calendars and schedules
  • Write, edit, and distribute clear and engaging communications
  • Organize and consolidate information from multiple teams and initiatives
  • Develop audience segmentation and messaging strategies
  • Help build and implement a funnel-based communications strategy
  • Coordinate communications with internal teams and leadership
  • Track engagement and identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness
  • Establish systems and processes to make communications more organized and consistent
  • Manage communications projects from concept through execution

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, project management, audience development, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong writing and editing abilities with an understanding of tone and audience
  • Strong digital fluency and comfort learning new platforms and tools
  • Experience taking ownership of projects from start to finish
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude
  • Proactive, resourceful, and strong follow-through
